Wandsworth’s well-heeled residents would be in an uproar if anything much changed at their beloved neighborhood restaurant Chez Bruce. Since 1995, Bruce Poole has shown an unwavering commitment to classically minded Franco-Mediterranean cuisine and wines to match. Matt Christmas, head chef of ten years, doesn’t shy away from classic pairings like pork and Agen prunes, foie gras and chicken liver parfait, and Barbary duck breast with orange. Both the wine list (encyclopedic and Francophile) and the cheeseboard enjoy near-legendary status. An evergreen.
