Adam and Natasha Stokes’ central Birmingham restaurant started out in a former sandwich shop in 2013 before moving to its new, more chichi home – complete with chef’s table – in 2016. Stokes, formerly of Hambleton Hall and Glenapp Castle, combines fine-dining traditions with flashes of creativity. Who’s to say wagyu brisket and chimichurri or gâteau opéra can’t follow wild turbot, champagne and caviar? For special occasions, the cellar has multiple vintages of Krug, Cristal and DP.
