Though it began as a family guesthouse in 1951, the Sirenuse has become the most luxurious hotel on the Amalfi Coast. Gennaro Russo’s cuisine is a perfect fit for a clientele predominantly made up of foreigners who are happy eating an internationalized version of the region’s flavors. The approach has earned La Sponda many well-deserved honors from the culinary media. Enjoying a meal here at night is magical when the dining room overlooking the beach in Positano is lit with 400 candles.
