La Pineta (“the pine grove”) was born in 1964 as the kitchen of the small beach resort, and over time it morphed into an exceptional fish restaurant, turned into a destination by its proximity to the wine area of Bolgheri. Most of the regular clientele, though, would not call it by its name, but rather simply say: “dallo Zazzeri”, meaning Luciano, the chef. Following his untimely passing, his sons Andrea e Daniele have preserved the unique mix between family-style warmth and flawless cooking in product-driven dishes such as steamed langoustine and shrimps with vegetables and fruit, caciucco fish soup and fried octopus and orange with chili mayonnaise.
