Veteran chef José Manuel Viejo has been perfecting the grilling of fish and meats for the past 29 years. Seasonal product is purchased daily in the markets of Llanes and Ribadesella, and the menu is filled with the delights of the Cantabrian Sea: Local anchovies with a cheese sauce, Russian salad with lobster or grilled hake cheeks with caviar are some of the delights on offer. Rosa Rui-Sánchez, Viejo’s wife, takes care of the starters, desserts and stews. The place is surrounded by meadows, so the environment is lovely. This is where many Asturian chefs go to eat on their days off.
