Review for this restaurant

Sushi master Mitsuhiro Araki shuttered his world-renowned Ginza restaurant in 2014 to pursue a new challenge in London. The Araki, a sliver of a sushi-ya in Mayfair, raised London’s sushi game overnight, making headlines with its £300 omakase menu, served to the lucky few (two sittings of nine guests a night). Araki-san handed over the reins to his British apprentice Marty Lau in 2019. Lau upholds his master’s standards, serving edomae sushi piece by piece. High-grade tuna is a speciality, enhanced sometimes by caviar and truffles, and served with rice from the Araki family farm.
