SO stands for Soho, LA for Los Angeles. Friendly, intimate SOLA offers up chef Victor Garvey’s interpretation of contemporary California cuisine for a London audience. The New York-born, Barcelona-raised chef takes only the best produce – Scottish langoustines, Kaluga caviar, Garimori Ibérico, etc. – for his luxurious tasting menu. He has fun with form; one minute it’s painstaking Japanese-style elegance, the next a fun riff on cheesesteak with A4 wagyu. The wine list majors in rare American bottles, with a West Coast focus.
