Perched on the 24th floor of Tower 42, Jason Atherton’s City restaurant offers grand views over the Square Mile. Paul Walsh (ex Savoy Grill and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay) executes the group’s classic contemporary style with finesse and a subtle Asian accent. Highland venison and red cabbage gets its own braised shoulder bao, for example, while Orkney scallops and truffle come with pickled pear and shimeji. For those with typical Masters of the Universe tastes, there are steaks, duck-fat chips and plenty of great French reds.
