Review for this restaurant

Opened in 2004 as a sister restaurant to the similarly beloved Chutney Mary and Veeraswamy, Amaya is one of the original examples of Indian fine-dining Indian in London. Head chef Sanchit Kapoor’s focus is on grilled dishes, such as wild prawns, smoked chili lamb chops or wild venison tandoori, along with wonderful house-made paneer served with basmati rice that has been aged for a year. The location in Belgravia means the crowd is a bit more upscale than what you find at the typical London Indian restaurant.
