Rohit Ghai’s lavishly appointed town house restaurant can be found hidden away down a Chelsea side street, just off the King’s Road. Knock on the discreetly marked front door and step into a world of opulent fabrics, Zoffany wallpaper and costly furnishings inspired by India’s wildlife. It’s a sumptuous setting fit for Ghai’s sumptuous pan-Indian cuisine, which has masala scrambled eggs paired with truffle and quail naan; steamed idli with lobster or tandoor lamb chops with quinoa. Vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free diets are well catered for. There are some big hitters from Bordeaux and Burgundy on the global list.
